Hey, I’m Kirsten and I’m so excited that you’re here today because outsourcing is a game changer for most business owners. And I’m going to tell you what one of our clients had to say, “I am in love with my virtual assistant. She’s doing an amazing job on my social media marketing and editing my videos. The only thing I would change is I wish I had hired her sooner!” That was from Vanessa. What are some of the best tasks for outsourcing?
Well over the years, these are the things that our clients have outsourced; branding and logo design seems to be one of the first things that most small business owners outsource. If you’re not a graphic designer, and you don’t really know anything about branding, you don’t know where to start. What color should you use? What fonts should you use? How do you even create a logo? So that tends to be one of the first things that is outsourced.
The next thing is website development and design. This can help you build a professional brand from the start. Now some companies actually end up hiring a graphic designer or a web designer. Maybe they started off with something that they did or something they had someone do off of Fiverr, but as their business grows, they want to have a more productive look. So that’s when they’ll outsource their logo branding and websites.

Bookkeeping is the next thing we see a lot of people outsource. We work with a lot of creatives, like my business partner Jeanne. They are perfectly capable of doing their bookkeeping, but they really don’t enjoy it. So it makes sense for them to outsource that as soon as possible. In fact, bookkeeping was the first thing that Jeannie outsourced for her marketing agency.
The third thing I want to talk about is video editing. So many businesses, both local businesses and online businesses are starting to see the value in video marketing. The problem is video editing. Most small business owners don’t have that skill, and to be honest, they don’t have the time or the desire to learn that skill. So video editing is something that you can outsource. You can find great people on sites like Upwork. This will allow you to use video as part of your marketing strategy, without all the headaches of editing.
We all know the importance of social media marketing, but it can be very time-consuming. Now if you love social media, you may really enjoy this. However, as you get busier, you may find that it’s not the best use of your time. And that’s when you should outsource your social media marketing. If you don’t know a lot about social media marketing, or you really don’t enjoy social media, you can outsource it from day one.
More and more of our clients are hiring virtual assistants when they first start their businesses. Their virtual assistants will set up their social media platforms, come up with a social media strategy for them, and then help them build their brand on all platforms as well as help them with their call to actions and their opt-ins.
Speaking of opt-ins that brings me to email marketing. Email marketing still has one of the highest ROI’s out there. If you’re not using email marketing, you’re shooting yourself in the foot. You should focus on building your list and outsource your email marketing.
One of our clients is an interior designer. When we first started working with her, her email list had about 90 people on it and at that point, we encouraged her to outsource Email Marketing. And she did decide to outsource that. Two years later, her email list was ever 700 people and her business was over six figures.

Now, how did she do that? First of all, she was very busy networking. And then her second strategy was her email marketing. She started off with a once a month email and then went to once a week emails. The only other thing that she was doing, or should I say having done for her was posting on our business Facebook page. She outsourced having someone post five days a week to her Facebook page. But the reality is, the majority of our business came from the fact that she was networking, and then she was staying in relationships with everyone that she met with her email marketing.
So here are a few other things that you could outsource; data entry, SEO, landing pages, sales funnels, customer service, keyword research and blogging.
I’ll put a link below of all of the different tasks that you can outsource.
I think you’re going to be absolutely surprised to see how different things you could outsource for your business, which would free up time for you to focus on making money. And again, having a life, getting out and doing the things that you really enjoy doing.
